Oct. 24--CoManage Corp., the Wexford-based developer of networking software, announced yesterday what is believed to be the third-largest round of venture capital in recent years in the Pittsburgh region.

The promising start-up, which already had raised $21 million through two earlier rounds of financing, brought in another $36 million the past month.

The latest round was led by Highland Capital Partners and Goldman Sachs Group. All of CoManage's earlier investors -- Adams Capital Management, Bessemer Venture Partners, Birchmere Ventures, Columbia Capital, Lucent Venture Partners and Patricof & Co. -- joined the latest round, …
