Sep. 14--About 33 percent of Richmond-area employers said they expect to hire more employees in the final three months of the year, while 3 percent plan to reduce their work force, according to a survey by a major staffing firm.
The survey conducted by Manpower Inc. shows that 64 percent of employers in the Richmond area expect to maintain current employment from October to December.
Manpower, based in Wisconsin, conducts a quarterly survey of 16,000 U.S. employers, including about 300 in Virginia. In the national survey, 28 percent of employers said they expect to hire during the fourth quarter, while 7 percent expect to …
