Nov. 9--A downtown property owner is asking the Erie County Industrial Development Agency to reconsider its recent approval of tax abatements for a new office building in the Theater District.

David Sweet, who owns the Main Seneca Building and other downtown properties, believes the board voted without "full and accurate information" about prospective tenants for the new building at 655 Main St., the site of a shuttered McDonald's Restaurant.

Sweet questions whether the board would have approved the project if all 20 members knew the building would potentially relocate the Buffalo Niagara Partnership and the Wolf Group from existing downtown …
