Biopharmaceutical company announces new gene trapping patent.
2004 SEP 18 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Lexicon Genetics Incorporated (LEXG) announced the issuance of U.S. Patent No. 6,776,988 entitled "Vectors for gene mutagenesis and gene discovery," the company's seventh patent related to its proprietary gene trapping technology.
The 988 patent covers cells that have been genetically engineered using Lexicon's third-generation gene trapping constructs.
The newly issued patent covers the substantial majority of the more than 270,000 embryonic stem cell clones present in Lexicon's OmniBank library and identified by DNA sequence in Lexicon's OmniBank ...
