SAN JOSE, Calif. _ When Jim Mora directs the Atlanta Falcons against the 49ers this weekend, the game plan for his offense is schoolyard simple. He would rather his quarterback deliver the oohs and ahhs than adhere strictly to the Xs and Os.
"I just want him to go be Michael Vick," Mora said Wednesday. "If that means he runs, then he runs. If that means he throws, he throws."
Such strategy says much about Vick, whose lightning legs are apparently fully recovered from a hamstring injury. The approach says plenty more about Mora, who is providing players the same freedom in Atlanta that he did in his five seasons as the 49ers' defensive coordinator.
This week, he could stand at the blackboard until the chalk is worn to a nub, because he knows 49ers' system…
