MONCKS CORNER-Berkeley County School Board members got a first glimpse Tuesday of what the district's seventh high school will look like, and they liked what they saw.
"It's absolutely great!" said board Chairwoman Harriet Dangerfield after attending a presentation by the project's builders. "I'm very, very pleased."
The not-yet-named school will relieve overcrowding at Stratford High in Goose Creek. With 2,743 students at last count, Stratford is among the state's largest schools. The 21-year-old school holds nearly 40 percent more students than called for in its latest expansion three years ago.
