Sep. 4--The government's latest issue of 20 billion baht worth of savings bonds has been fully subscribed, according to Boonsak Jiampreecha, a deputy permanent secretary for the Finance Ministry.

According to Goanpot Asvinvichit, the director-general of the Government Savings Bank, 21 billion baht worth of bonds had been subscribed by 56,000 investors.

More than half of the bonds were subscribed by investors seeking to invest 100,000 to 500,000 baht, he said, with only a small proportion subscribing for only the 20,000-baht minimum amount.

Investor demand for the bonds was high thanks to annual yields of 5.1 ...
