Sep. 7--Japanese businessmen in Thailand have expressed concern over the government's energy policy, which has forced them to adjust their long-term business and investment plans, according to Staporn Kavitanon, the chairman of the Thai-Japanese Association.

Association members hope that Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra will be able to clear the air when he meets on Thursday with top executives from 200 Japanese companies in Thailand.

Mr Staporn, who is a former secretary-general of the Board of Investment, said the association hoped the premier would help reduce Japanese investors' concerns over the government's ...
