Time-Warner bolsters MGM bid
The media conglomerate reworked a takeover offer for the entertainment firm, agreeing to pay about $4.5 bil in cash for the film & TV giant, reports said. Analysts said the bid appears to be more attractive to MGM than Sony's nearly $5 bil offer. Time-Warner shares rose 3 cents to 16.20. Sony rose 1% to 35.02. MGM fell 9% to 11.
