Sep. 2--The local mania for green tea shows no sign of abating, with the beverage finding its way into a host of foods as well as non-food products.
Thai Fresh Food Co Ltd, best known for its Sam Por Krua (Three Chefs) brand of processed fresh foods, is the latest entry, using green tea in its Hainan chicken rice product line.
"People often think that chicken rice makes them fat so we mix green tea in with the rice. According to research, green tea contains polyphenols, which help reduce cholesterol in the blood and prevent the blood from clotting. It also has fluoride which protects the teeth," said Akkradetch ...
