* No mortal guy has been able to live up to John Cusack's classic romantic gesture in Say Anything, when he stood outside of Ione Skye's house holding up his boom box and blasting "In Your Eyes." But just what is it about this 37-year-old Chicago native that makes him so universally crush-worthy? For starters, he's disarmingly sexy, and everything about him--from his mysterious smile to his skateboarder-chic attire--is kind of cool. John may not act like a Hollywood hotshot, but there's no denying that he is one. He's made more than 40 films in the past 20 years, and with a new flick out--the movie version of John Grisham's best-selling novel The Runaway Jury--he's still as hot as ever. Read on for the reasons why.

[Cosmo] What intrigued you about Runaway Jury?

[John] I was excited to work with Dustin [Hoffman], and they kind of wanted me to do the movie. It's nice to be wanted.

[C] Of all the actresses you've worked with, who do you think you've had the best chemistry with?

[J] I had great chemistry with Cate Blanchett [in Pushing Tin]. I had a great time with Cameron [Diaz] in Being John Malkovich. She's gorgeous and very charismatic, but she's kind of down-to-earth and silly. I've really enjoyed working with Catherine Zeta-Jones [in High Fidelity and America's Sweethearts]. I don't know why, but we got along great.

[C] Which of the movies that you've done is your favorite?

[J] There are probably about six or seven that I like. I liked Being John Malkovich a lot. I liked Say Anything--I just think it's a solid film, with a solid character. Lloyd was an optimist, but he also had a great shadowy side to him.
