The "MUFLY" T-shirts usually don't have a place in college athletics. That's kids' stuff a high school slogan.

But if a University of New Mexico team ever had reasons to shoulder the "Make Up for Last Year" motto, it's Lobos men's soccer.

The season of 2003 was a semiflop.

"It won't take much for us to outdo last year," Lobos junior Ben Ashwill said. "Nothing worked out for us. We just never clicked, never put it together on game day."

The biggest problem for the Lobos of 2003 was the Lobos of 2002. The Lobos of 2002 overachieved and set high expectations for the Lobos of 2003. …
