While state and city officials hunt for a market to support direct air service to Mexico, they're also making improvements to the Albuquerque International Sunport that could make the job easier.

Among them are measures to streamline the airport's customs and immigrations services and activate a Foreign Trade Zone that would allow companies to import foreign goods without paying taxes.

The airport's customs and immigrations services are at Cutter Aviation, in the general aviation section of the airport.
