Sep. 1--CVD Entertainment Plc has called off talks with US-based Technicolor for the latter to become the partner in its one-billion-baht baht VCD/DVD production scheme and turned to an Asian company as a likely ally.
Padet Hongfa, the company's managing director, said he did not want to wait for the deal with Technicolor and is now negotiating with an Asian partner to construct a VCD/DVD plant in Thailand.
The deal is expected to be finalised by the end of this year and the production facility is expected to be up and running next year.
The investment would be around 800 million to one billion baht ...
