Sep. 1--In a bid to achieve 10 percent growth in Thailand's diamond jewellery market this year, The Emporium shopping centre, De Beers and leading jewellers plan to host the World Diamond Jewellery Showcase fair later this year.
"We earlier projected this year's growth to be 10 percent, but consumer sentiment seems to have been affected markedly by rising fuel prices," said Kannikar Svetsreni, the business director of Diamond Trading Company (DTC) Thailand, the marketing arm of the De Beers Group.
