Sep. 1--Boon Rawd, the cash-rich conglomerate owned by the Bhirombhakdi family, yesterday surprised the local business world with the announcement that it would seek a listing on the Stock Exchange of Thailand next year in a move to raise 10 billion baht for a major expansion.
The plan was revealed by Chutinant Bhirombhakdi, a director of Boon Rawd Brewery Co, the flagship founded by Phraya Bhirom Bhakdi in 1933 and long known for its conservative family-run management style.
