2004 SEP 2 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Power3 Medical Products, Inc., (OTC BB: PWRM) announced the filing of a provisional patent application on proteomic testing and biomarker discovery methods.

The patent application was filed for using the company's protein biomarker footprints for early detection, monitoring, and staging of a broad range of diseases including breast cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and others diseases.

This new application, in conjunction with other pending patents, provisional patent applications, licensing agreements, and proprietary technologies, increases Power3's intellectual property platform.

Power3 is pursuing an aggressive intellectual property strategy, thereby continuing its position as a leader in using Proteomics to solve pressing clinical problems. Included in the filing is the company's unique overlay method for detecting breast cancer utilizing Power3's NAF TEST.
