Close isn't good enough as far as the Presbyterian football team is concerned. So last year's 4-6 campaign, close to being a lot better, has been a big motivating factor for the Blue Hose as they prepare for Saturday's opener against Cumberland.

"Our expectations over the last few years have been high," said Tommy Spangler, entering his fourth season as the head coach at Presbyterian. "We expect to win every game. We have the program to that point and realistically feel that's what we're out to accomplish. We don't want to play somebody close or solid. We're out to win, do the things it takes to win. That's our expectation."
