According to an abstract submitted by the authors to a joint meeting of the Association for American Physicians, American Society for Clinical Investigation and American Federation for Clinical Research, held May 1-4, 1992, in Baltimore, Maryland, "Anti-HIV-1 total and neutralizing (NEUT) antibody in the serum of 28 HIV-1 infected mothers at delivery, was correlated with infant HIV-1 infection.
