Q. A few years ago my wife and I had the entire inside of our house repainted, except for one small 10-by-10 bedroom that was being used as a storage room. When it was possible to remove the boxes, furniture, etc., I elected to cover the damaged old paint on the walls with numerous sports-car racing posters. I liked the way it looked, but my wife believes I should act my age (almost 70) and make the guest bedroom look like a proper guest bedroom instead of the haunt of a car enthusiast.
