Mar. 6--Gov. Jesse Ventura and University of Minnesota officials, at odds this year over the university's budget, came together Monday on a new program aimed at commercializing the school's medical technology.
Ventura announced a plan to pump $10 million in state money into a for-profit, independent company that would help promote and market the university's medical research. He was accompanied by Jerry Carlson, his former economic development commissioner, and Mark Paller, the university's assistant vice president of research.
