Mar. 28--The Alternative Learning Center will not be part of Aberdeen's new public high school.
The school board vote 6-1 Monday night to house ALC away from the new school, most likely at Hub Area Technical School.
About 60 students in grades 7-12 currently attend classes at the ALC, which serves youths with various academic and behavioral problems. Its philosophy is to provide smaller student/teacher ratios, with more direct instruction and supervision.
