Greenville, Ky.-Based Food Distribution Firm to Close after 75 Years.

Mar. 27--GREENVILLE, Ky.--SuperValu Distribution Center officers announced Tuesday that the wholesale grocery business will close early this summer, ending a 75-year role as an anchor in the community in general and in Mark Curry's life in particular.

Curry has worked at the Greene Drive company for 16 years. As a Greenville City Council member, Curry now has to help look for a way to replace jobs for 175 employees, who were given their 60-day notices Tuesday morning.

Curry, a Greenville native whose family and in-laws also live here, could face the prospect of relocating.

"I'm just hoping something will come along," said Curry, who works in the receiving department.
