Two court sentences have been handed down and new charges filed in cases involving theft from the Library of Congress, prompting a vigorous new campaign to secure the library's collections.

Radiologist Harry R. Katz was sentenced Mar. 16 to five years' probation and a $10,000 fine and was ordered to pay $65,605 in restitution for stealing art, photography, and mathematical material on at least 50 occasions; and Barry M. Goldman, an attorney with the Government Accounting Office, was sentenced Mar. 30 to six months in a community correctional center and two year's probation for the theft of rare government documents (AL, Feb., p. 133).
