UPN Snatches "Buffy" from the WB Network.

Apr. 24--"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was never the WB's highest-rated show but it was the network's linchpin series: a critically acclaimed program with a tremendously loyal following that defined the WB's commitment to strong dramas.

But starting this fall, "Buffy" will move from the network that it has called home for five seasons to the WB's testosterone-driven rival, UPN (Ch. 44). In addition, there's a good chance that its spinoff, "Angel," will shift to UPN come September and some possibility that cult favorite "Roswell" will also join the move from WB (Chs. 11, 20).
