Apr. 23--A little-known Boulder start-up is making a lot of noise in the world of AWeb design.
Electric Rain has developed software that significantly shortens the time it takes to publish three-dimensional animation on the Internet.
The company's RAViX technology converts 3D graphics into the widely used Macromedia Flash 2D format. A piece of 3D animation that took 20 hours to complete in Flash two years ago can be created in minutes with the technology.
"You're going to start seeing a lot more high-quality 3D on the Web," said Michael Sheasby, director of business development for Softimage Co., a Montreal-based software firm.
