Worknet Communications' Wireless Internet Service to Halt in St, Louis in May.

May 4--NuVox Communications Inc. of Chesterfield will keep Worknet Communications Inc.'s wireless Internet service up and running until the end of the month in a deal that gives NuVox a chance to take over Worknet's 500 customers, officers of both companies said.

Worknet no longer is selling Internet service in St. Louis or any other markets, said Worknet Chief Executive Sanjay Jain.

The company, which has about 40 employees in St. Louis, sells equipment that allows other companies to provide wireless Internet service using rooftop antennas.
