Jun. 14--Despite four months of talks, negotiators for Dominion East Ohio Gas and 1,200 natural gas workers have failed to reach terms on a new contract. The old one expires tomorrow at midnight.
If an agreement is not reached before then, workers could remain on the job on a day-to-day basis as talks continue, a union spokesman says. No strike vote has been taken.
Dominion East Ohio Gas of Cleveland is a subsidiary of Dominion Resources Inc. of Richmond. It serves as the natural gas utility for 1.2 million customers in northeast and eastern Ohio.
