Jul. 18--Brunswick County supervisors could decide at their meeting tonight whether to approve a special permit for the construction of a 550-megawatt independent power plant near the Ante Community, about 10 miles southeast of Lawrenceville.
The county Planning Commission decided after a public hearing last week to recommend that the board approve a permit for the plant. Kinder Morgan Power Co. of Houston, the plant's developer, needs the permit because the plant would be located in an agricultural zone.
