ESPN ANNOUNCED RECENTLY that it soon would launch a "reality-based" series called, "The Season." The first episode (June 26, 5 p.m.) will focus on Tiger Woods at this week's U.S. Open. The second episode (July 5, TBA) will focus on the Philadelphia 76ers at the NBA Finals.

Mark Shapiro, vice president and general manager of ESPN Original Entertainment, said in the press release that, ""The Season' will answer the question, `What is it like to actually be on the field, or in the locker room, behind closed doors or directly on the sidelines with a team or player during the heat of athletic competition?'
