Jul. 24--As discussions on a countywide stream-buffer rules boil down to definitions of streams and the best widths for buffer zones, Southern District commissioner Karen Miller said officials will consider forming a subcommittee of experts to tackle technical aspects of the ordinance.

Almost four months after Miller enlisted members of the public to help draft the ordinance, the group of citizens participating has grown to more than 30 people representing government officials, planners, engineers, scientists, researchers, environmentalists, farmers, developers, builders, Realtors and lawyers.
