Aug. 1--Total Access Communication has reassigned its top Thai marketing executive to its parent company, United Communication Industry (Ucom) to take charge of marketing of the group.
Somwong Pongstaporn is currently deputy managing director at TAC. His position at the mobile-phone subsidiary will be left vacant, with his responsibilities handled by chief operating officer Helene Sandberg, a Norwegian executive from Telenor, which holds more than 30 percent of TAC.
Mr Somwong was being transferred to Ucom because TAC had several executives involved in marketing while Ucom had no designated executive in the post, said TAC managing director Boonchai Bencharongkul.
Mr Boonchai said he would take care of advertising and product promotions at TAC while Ms Sandberg, who is in charge of products, would oversee marketing. He said the reshuffle would shorten the ...
