Aug. 1--The Telephone Organisation of Thailand today will cut the charge for its popular Y-Tel 1234 long-distance service to 50 satang a minute nationwide on weekends to stay competitive.
The discount, effective to Sept 30, will also apply on other days between 10 pm and 7 am. The regular charges are two, four, six and eight baht a minute depending on the area called.
