Jul. 28--PAY-TV PIRACY: The Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (Casbaa) will hold a discussion on pay-television in Bangkok on Friday as part of an effort to publicise the need to crack down on signal piracy.

Participants will examine the extent of pay-TV piracy in the region, with overviews from marketing, technical and legal perspectives.

The association said it hoped the talks would result in guidelines for action in six markets where Casbaa, working with other bodies and industries, could have an impact. Casbaa's members include Turner International, Columbia Tristar and CNBC. The event will be held at the JW Marriott Hotel.
