Jul. 27--TNT Express Worldwide (Thailand), a major provider of express and logistics services, is embarking on local reorganisation in one of the first major initiatives under the leadership of new director and business development manager Narongrid Galaputh.
"We are focusing on boosting revenue, investing in new opportunities and overhauling our marketing channels and work processes," said Mr Narongrid, 39, the first Thai to head TNT in its 20-year presence in Thailand.
"We will continue trying to achieve our company's goal to lead the express business in Thailand by 2005, in part to achieve 40 percent growth in revenue next year."Mr Narongrid said that TNT's business strategy would continue to grow from inside, what he calls "organic growth", in an effort to maximise the company's strength in information technology network capacity.
The company is overhauling its marketing roles and channels to broaden its customer base in the face of more intense competition.
Major customer targets now are the automotive, electronics and telecommunication sectors.
TNT is organising its marketing roles into five channels: alliance and acquisition, telemarketing, vertical marketing, export marketing, and consultative selling.
