Aug. 7--TRW GETS BOEING CONTRACT: TRW Inc. won a $564 million contract from Boeing Co. to continue development of a battle-management command, control and communications system for the national missile-defense program. About $80 million of the money will flow to Colorado Springs, where 75 TRW engineers are developing the system displays, program manager Gary Abercrombie said. TRW has been a subcontractor on the project for Boeing since about 1995, Abercrombie said. The company's workforce in Colorado Springs won't immediately change, he said, but could grow in 2003 or 2004.
