Aug. 3--YUANTA TOPS BROKERS IN JULY: Yuanta Securities topped the brokerage table for July with 18.2 billion baht worth of transactions handled, or 9.99 percent of total market turnover, according to the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

Close behind was ABN Amro Asia Securities at 18.19 billion baht, followed by Jardine Fleming Thanakom at 15.39 billion or 8.45 percent .

Rounding out the top 10 were Kim Eng Securities (7.7 percent ), Seamico Securities (6.98 percent ), KGI Securities One (5.27 percent ), Adkinson Securities (4.75 percent ), Capital Nomura (4.53 percent ), National Securities (4.04 percent ) and Merrill Lynch Phatra (3.92 percent ).

Total market turnover in July was 10.1 billion shares worth 91.07 billion baht, a drop of 26.2 billion baht from the month before.

Foreign investors purchased 17.2 billion baht worth of securities, or 18.9 percent of total buy orders, and sold 19.39 billion, or 21.29 percent of total sell orders.

Purchases by local institutional investors were 4.26 billion baht or 4.68 percent of total buys, and sales were 4.3 billion or 4.73 percent .

Individual investors purchased 69.6 billion baht worth of securities, or 76.42 percent of total buy orders, and sold 67.37 billion baht or 73.98 percent .
