Aug. 20--GLENS FALLS, N.Y.--About 50 people are losing jobs at Tribune Media Services and TV Data Technologies, Tribune officials announced.
Tribune bought a majority stake in TV Data in May. The cuts, which will occur between Aug. 31 and February 2002, will leave 410 people at the companies, which have separate offices a few miles apart in Glens Falls.
Both operations provide television program listings to 4,000 newspapers, broadcasters, online services and other firms. The Times Union is a Tribune customer.
