Aug. 19--Guilt-free electronics recyclers are hard to find.

Environmentally conscious computer users wring their hands over whether recycling companies dispose of every little part in a responsible manner. Some find it unacceptable to send broken-down parts overseas, where it's hard to track what happens to them.

And there's the issue of labor. Dell Inc. had to backtrack last year when it started a recycling service using a federal prison-labor contractor that environmental activists had criticized.
