Rolen has starring role in Phillies' soap opera of a season.

PHILADELPHIA _ This Phillies season has become a soap opera of sorts, and the lead character in almost every episode is Scott Rolen, the third baseman who is having a solid season that apparently isn't good enough for some people in the organization.

In the latest installment of Tense Times, Dallas Green, a senior adviser to general manager Ed Wade, went on the local sports-talk radio station Monday morning and made some critical remarks about Rolen.

"Scotty is satisfied with being a so-so player," Green said. "He's not a great player. In his mind, he probably thinks he's doing OK, but the fans in Philadelphia know otherwise. I …
