Aug. 29--Patrons of Richmond International Airport could see some relief of their parking woes by next week, but it will be about four months before the traveling public gets significant numbers of additional spaces close to the terminal.
During a one-hour tour of the 2,600-acre facility yesterday, regional airport officials learned that 143 new spaces will open within a week in front of the terminal. The surface lot is at the site of the former reflecting pool between parking decks.
