Thai Furniture Company to Introduce Dealer Network.

Sep. 5--The Modernform Group Plc, a furniture maker, will establish dealers in the provinces to widen its market and reduce operating costs.
Ten to 12 dealers would be operating nationwide soon, depending on market conditions and talks with potential partners, said chief executive Thaksa Busayapoka.
The first dealer, MDF Furniture Ltd in Chiang Mai, began supplying local customers and those in adjoining provinces on Saturday.
All Modernform furniture brands -- Moflex, Klasse and Kitchen -- as well as sofas, are available in its showroom. The monthly sales target for a dealer is set at five million baht.
"The dealer system will help us expand the provincial market. Local dealers know customers and markets better than we do. However, they will operate showrooms and service customers to our standards," Mr Thaksa said.
Previously, Modernform had three provincial showrooms, one each in Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen and Hat Yai. The assets of the Chiang Mai showroom were sold to MDF while the Hat Yai outlet has been closed. The company is looking for a dealer in Khon Kaen to take ...
