Stores Close in Oklahoma City Area; Malls Likely to Reopen Today.

Sep. 12--Many Oklahoma City metro area malls and stores closed their doors Tuesday in response to terrorist attacks in New York and Washington.

Quail Springs Mall spokeswoman Kelly Waswo said the mall closed "out of respect for the families involved in the tragedy." General Growth Properties closed all its malls nationwide, she said.

Some department store anchors at the north Oklahoma City mall did remain open into the afternoon, Waswo said. The mall will reopen today.

Penn Square Mall in north Oklahoma City closed at 2:30 p.m.
