Oct. 1--Siam City Bank is ready to compete aggressively, following the introduction of its new organisational structure, according to Apisak Tantivorawong, the president.
"We have already achieved new loans totalling 4.6 billion baht, against this year's target of five billion. Next year, we plan to lend 15-20 billion baht. Our goal is to become one of the country's leading commercial banks," said Mr Apisak.
The bank has gone through an organisational restructuring for the past six months, aimed at promoting new lending in line with the government's economic recovery policy.
The bank has managed to attract new clients as well as winning back many of its former clients.
From today, a new business structure will take effect, with new appointees made to head eight business groups.
