Oct. 1--DBS CONFIRMS PRICE OF BROKERAGE SALE: DBS Group Holdings said Barclays Bank would pay S$17.3 million for DBS Thai Danu Securities.

DBS Group subsidiaries DBS Thai Danu Bank and DBS Securities Holding are selling their combined 100 percent stake in the Thai brokerage to Barclays in a deal to be finalised in November.

27 SUBSTANCES TO BE BANNED: At least 27 hazardous substances used in industry and farming will be banned in Thailand by the Industry Ministry. They are among 49 hazardous substances banned in developed countries.
