Retailers Slowly Arrive in Redeveloped Downtown Denver Neighborhood.

Oct. 18--Jim Harder and Scott Peterson have opened their new men's clothing store in Lower Downtown.

The store, called Players, is badly needed in the neighborhood, according to a recent survey by the Downtown Denver Partnership that showed men's apparel is the No. 1 retail need in downtown Denver.

The two veteran clothing specialists signed an agreement nearly two years ago to open the store at 1501 Wazee St.

"We're getting businesspeople from downtown, loft-living people and quite a few people from out of town," said Harder, who previously owned Trout's American Sportswear on Old South Gaylord Street. He sold the …
