Actress Lucy Liu isn't just pushing the envelope these days, she's tearing it wide open. People used to think of her as a smart-mouthed sidekick (Ally McBeal), but recently, her roles in Charlie's Angles: Full Throttle and the Kill Bill films have transformed her into one of Hollywood's hottest leading action heros. This 35-year-old New York native continues to prove that you can be fearless and totally female at the same time.
HOW DO YOU TRAIN FOR THESE PHYSICALLY DEMANDING ROLES?
I get up at 4 a.m. to work out. A scene my last only eight minutes, but it might take eight hours to shoot, so you have to have a certain amount of stamina to do it ... and in high heels no less. And for Kill Bill, I had to learn to use a samurai sword.
