Every year, thousands of talented young singers and actresses come to New York City with the dream of becoming a Broadway star, though very few make it. Kristin Chenoweth, 33, did. An Oklahoma native, she arrived fresh out of grad school in 1993 and landed a role in a musical after just one audition. She went on to win a Tony award in 1999 for her role as Sally in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Most recently, she's won rave reviews for her turn as Glinda the Good Witch in the new musical hit Wicked. Her character literally attempts to give the Wicked Witch of the West a makeover.
