"Friends has been 10 years of my life, and these people are my family, so I don't know how we're going to handle the end."

* Last year we crowned our first ever Fun Fearless Male. And due to the over-whelming response you gave us, we decided to continue the trend this year with a guy we've had a standing Thursday-night date with for the last 10 years: Matthew Perry. His finest attribute: He's never stood us up! We fell head over heels for the Friends star's quick-witted charm ,and self-deprecating humor. And we rooted for Matthew every step of the way when he overcame his very public addiction to painkillers and alcohol. It's not his superstar status but rather his candor and newfound positive outlook on life that has kept the 34-year-old actor on top.

And now, with Friends winding down, he has more time to focus on his movie career, including the upcoming The Whole Ten Yards, in which he reprises his role as Oz, the slightly paranoid dentist. He also has more time to spend with his new honey, 26-year-old New York City student Rachel Dunn, whom Matthew is hooked on. Friends may be on the way out, but for Matthew, a new chapter is beginning.

[Cosmo] How does it feel to be Cosmo's Fun Fearless Male of the Year?

[Matthew] It continues the surreal road of my life. I'm very proud of it, the fearless part especially. That feels earned.

[C] What's fun for you?

[M] Do you want the R-rated version [laughs]? Seriously, though, I'm in a relationship with a woman now. I haven't really been in one this serious. And making her laugh and being myself around somebody has actually become really fun.
