Nov. 1--The rural setting that lured Jim Comas to the area south of Rock Bridge Memorial State Park three years ago is about to see a big change.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources, after almost six months of deliberation, issued a permit Friday for a sewer treatment facility at the Brookfield Estates development at Route -- and Bluebird Lane. That means developer Keith Samuel has cleared the last regulatory obstacle to full-scale construction of 34 homes on the 94-acre property.
